Job Description
As a lead narration, you will be responsible for the narrative features and content of the game to promote player engagement, curiosity and satisfaction. You will work closely with the Art-Director and the rest of the team.
Your mission will lead you to work on the following projects and tasks (non-exhaustive):
- Define the game world and its context,
- Define the game's narrative which will enhance the game world,
- Contextualize the "player's journey" in close collaboration with the Creative Director and the Game director,
- Be proactive in finding the best narrative means adapted to the technical constraints of video games and driving,
- Ensure compliance with the creative vision when developing storytelling elements with both internal teams and external service providers (screenwriters, writers, translators, etc.),
- Participate and ensure the proper development of the main characters,
- Lead and participate in casting sessions and voice recordings,
- Define the right guidelines to ensure quality translations,
- Ensure the overall consistency of the scenario and the different script elements throughout the game,
- Ensure a high quality narration at all stages of the production: script, decomposition of scenes, final edits and cutscenes,
- Collaborate with the different teams (UX, world, 3C, cinematic, audio, tech, etc.)in order to ensure the proper integration of all the elements of the narration, taking into account technical or production constraints.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in Narrative Design and ideally lead narration or other relevant experience,
- Ability to build an interesting story from a storyline, compose credible and varied dialogues,
- Experience with open-world game storytelling desired,
- Great curiosity and overall knowledge beyond video games,
- Fluent in French and English both orally and in writing,
- Business-like attitude and positive attitude,
- Rigor, creativity, flexibility, autonomy and self-criticism,
- Demonstrated knowledge of Oasis or other specialized video game narrative tools.
