I made some changes from the initial sketches, including moving the mother and the daughter closer to emphasize the connection between them.

I wanted the relationship of a mother and her daughter to be the main focus of the image, so I planned the composition around them. Also, did some silhouettes to decide the design of the windmills in the background and foreground

For the ideation phase, I decided on a general concept and sketched a couple of thumbnails. I ended up with three major subjects to have as a guide: nostalgia/childhood, nature, and family.
