I used a wide variety of colours with the idea of making it feel exotic and fantastical.I think the lighting and shading will tie everything together at the next stage.

Here is the final line work. The style I'm going for is similar to how I do some of my art in my sketchbook when I travel, using pen, watercolor, and colored pencils. Of course, it's going to be different, but at least it will capture the spirit of my sketches i hope.

After some experimenting, I landed on this composition. I am fond of using portrait format for environment and landscape images and I think it worked well for this image too. By placing my character at the bottom and having the worlds build on top and inward,i feel like it gives an good sense of scope.

In these sketches my main objective is to try and find a composition that can fit a large crowd buildings and landscapes.
