The Role

It’s an incredibly exciting time here at Space Ape Games. We have projects at all stages of the development cycle, along with a fast paced environment that promotes genuine autonomy. We launched our exciting new music game, Beatstar and we are also working on a new multiplayer game set in the Boom Beach universe. As a senior video artist the successful applicant will be involved in the production of video content for a variety of games & projects across the studio.  They will help to direct and deliver high quality marketing content which showcases our games in the best way possible.  The ideal candidate should possess a mobile first attitude with strong direction and visual communication skills.  We look for T-shaped candidates who excel in at least one discipline such as editing or motion graphics, whilst being highly capable in helping out on other related tasks if required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Game teams in the production of marketing video material

• Work with the Art Director, Audio and Marketing teams. Communicating ideas and issues, whilst creating assets which deliver our message effectively

• Editing of high-end marketing materials in an independent capacity

• Brainstorming and ideation for creative marketing concepts

• Take ownership of the day-to-day feedback communications, and final quality of deliverables from various external partners (outsourcing)

• Keep abreast of the latest industry video production techniques

Requirements:

• Master editing skills in Adobe Premiere

• Strong motion graphics skills using Adobe After Effects

• Good understanding of Maya/C4D/Blender or any 3D software, Unity engine experience would be a plus.

• A solid understanding of editing & pacing and a good sense of composition & rhythm

• A keen eye for graphic design

• Excellent organisation skills and previous experience managing multiple video projects simultaneously 

• Ability to take initiative & be responsive to deadlines.

• Experience creating advertising videos for digital agencies or mobile/game developers
