About the Job
You will lead the compositing team on commercial or in-house jobs, from project setup to project completion.

As primarily a 2D animation studio the bulk of our work as compositors will be integrating traditional hand-drawn animation exported from TVpaint as layers into paintings exported as layers from Photoshop.

• 5+ years of industry experience
• An excellent Eye for illustrative style.
• Great understanding and use of light and colour
• Expert Nuke compositor
• Complete understanding of the 2D animation process
• Excellent communicator
• A solid understanding of colour space principles
• Examples of compositing 2d animation and full CG
• Examples of Paintings, or Illustrations.
• Examples of Animation/motion graphics
• After Effects and Photoshop skills
• Experience with particle systems

• Animating camera moves either as simple 2D transforms or 3D multiplane scenes with camera projections and geo created in nuke or 3d.
• Creating toolsets.
• Integrate 3d assets rendered as AOVs into painted BGS
• Creating particle effects in Trapcode particular with after effects.
• Reorganizing and exporting photoshop layers to suit your comp.
• You will provide guidance and instruction, delegate and oversee the work, and inspire excellence in your team.
• You will be creating, scheduling and managing department tasks as well as liaising with the team to give briefs and feedback. You will be expected to create weekly progress reports.
• You will work closely with the production team, artists of all levels, and other project leads, as well as colleagues in Studio Operations and Social Media & PR.
  You will report directly to the project producer.
• Strong communication skills are of the utmost importance.
• You will be expected to practice active listening and have the ability to articulate your needs and questions clearly and concisely in a confident and professional manner.
