At Ready Set Concept, we are seeking experienced character concept artists for ongoing projects with our videogame development partners.

We are a new external art and game development studio, established by industry veterans in 2025. Our HQ is located in Ottawa, Canada and our studio is based in Montreal.

• Strong foundation in character design, human anatomy, proportions, costume/armor, and color theory.
• Iterate on ideas quickly through sketches and thumbnails through feedback with Art Directors and Leads.
• Focused on design and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Prior experience in AA or AAA game development is a valuable asset.

• Create compelling concepts for characters, creatures and related costume/gear/weapon designs.
• Render in semi-realistic or realistic style.
• Deliver high-quality art in a timely manner with a strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
• Experience working with distributed teams or external partners.
