Band Together

Band Together was an early exploration in indie game development, created exclusively for the iPad 2 in 2012. Inspired by The Lost Vikings and Lemmings, we called it a squad-based puzzle adventure with a touch of horror.

Band Together - Original Concept, Game Design & Art Direction. This image showcases a few ingame screenshots, and some of the inbetween-level sketch narratives that revealed as the players progressed. Players guide tiny creatures called Bandies through cardboard dioramas filled with homemade traps, from thumbtack death machines to pencil pits and rolling baseballs. I brought the idea to producer Dave Taylor, and together we assembled a small team to bring it to life. My work spanned the original concept, game design, and art direction. I’m particularly proud that it earned a 4.5-star rating on Apple’s App Store through unsolicited player reviews. See more here: https://www.redengineproductions.com/expose/band-together
