Adventures in Milan

As a project for my Erasmus+ 2019, i decided to create some postal cards detailing all the wacky adventures and fun facts i experience while being in Milano

01 - Arrival at Malpensa airpor, i was trying to find a friend of my Borrowed Family that was going to give me a lift straight to her home from the airport, since he charged only 90€ instead of the 150€ of Milan Taxis

02 - To enter my Borrowed Family's Home i had to use.5 keyes - One for the main gate, one for the stairs, one to call the elevator, one to enter a small patio and then enter home through that small patio

03 - First day meeting the erasmus+ company to where i was going to work for (Black Onyx Interactive). I was told what I was expected to work on and what I could start doing

04- Aparently in Milan, there are no Routers like there are in Portugal to have internet access. Instead they use some kind of Username and Password. And the worst part is that the working PC that came from Dublin got its Wi-fi antena all ruined and i couldnt use the programs to start working on my things.

05 - Individuals tickets can only be bought on kiosks , ATM machines or the Metro Machines. You cant buy it directly on the Bus/Tram/Metro. So To create a Monthly Transport Pass in Milano, you need to have a Codico Fiscale, and for that I needed to go to the Agenzia delle Entrate.

06 - Since the desktop pc was out of service with the Wi-Fi Antena not working properly, i decided to use my personal Laptop to work and then i used a iPad to draw Ui stuff or see references while working.

08 - I never had pets in my life, so when Tommy went outside of the house, i tried to pick him up by locking his legs. when we arrived home he just stay all twisted for 10 minutes. Turns out it was a flight of fight reaction he had. What a scare!

09 - On my Borrowed Family house there are 2 cats of 1 year Tommy and Margot. They love trying to hunt my feet in the night, play with my hair tie, try to still all the food i buy or cook. What a party it was!

10- To lunch outside you expend around 9€ to 16€. To eat a cake in a cofe is 1€ yo 3€ but the drink was another 3€. Its cooler to go to Lidle, Esselunga, Coop or Pam to buy some meat, potatoes, pasta, juices, cakes or sweets to lunch at home!

11 - *Sightª you wont get rid of those pesky drug or sketchy sellers at the Duomo square, even with the Police watching every corner of the place. Everytime i get those fellas, i just repeat "No, No, No!" and run into the oposite direction in search for a crowded place or near the police!

12 - In Italy you pay a speciall fee of 160€-194€ if you dont seperate correctly the garbage. Organico = Bio waste | Carta = paper and Cardboard not dirty | Vetro = Glass either dirty or clean | Batteria = Batteries | Electrico = Wires, electrodomestics and lightbulbs | Indiferentiata = Esferovite, Dirty cardboard or anything that wasnt refered before

I was trying to exit the store Feltrineli, and i asked the security guard if this was the exit, but at the same time a child exits the shop unsupervised and the security guard notices and says " Hey, is that your kid?" but as soon as he ends saying the child father cames along and they go on their ways so the security guard contines "Oh nevermind, yes, this is the exit!"
13 - According to my Borrowed Family, children below 16 are not allowed to roam around the city without being accompanied by an adult. I was trying to exit the store Feltrineli, and i asked the security guard if this was the exit, but at the same time a child exits the shop unsupervised and the security guard notices and says " Hey, is that your kid?" but as soon as he ends saying the child father cames along and they go on their ways so the security guard contines "Oh nevermind, yes, this is the exit!"
LAST DAY AT ROME - During my stay i ended up visiting twice rome since a friend of my mother lives there. She gave me very cool facts about room like it being a city that was so many times comcured and rebuilde that you can see cities underneath the city! I went with here to see a coir concert celebrating the 500 years of the English Colllege there. Besides Rome i went to Verona, and i tried to visit Veneza but it was drowned.
LAST DAY AT ROME - During my stay i ended up visiting twice rome since a friend of my mother lives there. LAST DAY AT OFFICE - i learned a lot with my Senior Graphic Designer who has a more advertizment and marketing background. I also loved to work with the team that was back in Dublin. Thanks everyone and good luck on new projects!

LAST DAY AT MY BORROWED FAMILY'S -- At the eve of coming back me and them build the Christmas Three and decorated it too. I really enjoyed living with them and catching up little italian sayings and words , and tips to what to do and visit in Milan. Hope everything is well with them!
