Eugenie Von Tunzelmann
Eugenie is an engineer and CG artist, working at Framestore in London and focusing on theme park rides.
Eugenie started out at Framestore, working in R&D on the Hippogriff for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. After moving to DNeg, she got excited about simulation and worked on fluid dynamics for many films such as Batman Begins, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Iron Man 2 and Man of Steel, as well as co-developing a crowd system for John Carter. As CG supervisor on Interstellar, she worked with Nobel Prize-winning astrophysicist Kip Thorne, simulating black holes and wormholes. Three years ago, she made a move away from film and into theme park rides, a medium which she has adored since childhood. In her spare time, she has written genetic algorithms to evolve virtual robots, and built a self-playing glockenspiel.
