I'm a 2D digital artist, researcher and educator, interested in storytelling and visual development for animation and video games. I'm a PhD candidate, researching female representation in contemporary and popular animated feature films. I also teach Visual Development for Video Games [MA in Engineering of Digital Games Development, IPCA] and Character Design for Animation [MA in Illustration and Animation, IPCA].

Previously, I taught Visual Storytelling and Figure Drawing [BA in Moving Image, UAlg] and worked on Mobeybou [FCT funded project at CIEC, UMinho], as a researcher and game artist, in charge of the creation of visual assets for the Mobeybou game and mobile apps + development, testing and implementation of UX/UI and gameplay design.

My studies include: MA in Illustration and Animation (2018) @ IPCA (Barcelos, Portugal), BA in Fine Arts - Multimedia (2015) @ FBAUP (Porto, Portugal) and Erasmus Exchange Program - Animation (2014) @ KASK (Gent, Belgium).

Animatic Revisionist and Background Artist

The Hunt

I helped revise the narrative and storyboard in the beginning of the project, and now I'm painting some backgrounds for the animated short film The Hunt, directed by Diogo Costa.

Clean Up Artist


I assisted the 2D animation team in the making of the ESL Dota 2 Berlin 2023 Major trailer, by turning rough animation tiedowns and storyboard sketches into clean and colored animation.

I currently teach Visual Development for Videogames [MA in Engineering of Digital Games Development] and Character Design for Animation [MA in Illustration and Animation].

I taught Figure Drawing and Visual Storytelling [BA in Moving Image]. I was also responsible for helping students build their showreels and portfolios.

Researcher and 2D Game Artist

Mobeybou - CIEC, Minho University

I developed visual assets for the story/game apps (menus, characters, environments, props); helped to test and establish the gameplay and UX of the products; ran user tests and gathered results.
